Safin triumphs

I watched the Australian Open mens' final too. It was another very good match, although not at all comparable to the Safin-Federer semi-final. After frittering away the first set to Lleyton Hewitt, Safin showed who's the boss. Hewitt played his normal game (which consists of running all over the court and trying to return every ball into the court), but was far outgunned by the Russian's powerful and precise groundstrokes.
As I feel after watching any great sports performance, here also I would quote a line from an excellent Mukesh song, written by Hasrat Jaipuri:
'kitanii hii taariif karuun, rukatii nahiin zubaan...'

1.A very apt and befitting quote;
2.Very timely and- more than that- quite apropriately quoted,can not be better conveyed;
3.What a gem of song and equally engaging lyrics.

I call it the 'quizzer's mindset'. A quizzer (in terms of mindset) generally (but not necessarily) sacrifices depth for breadth. So witness Samrat and others in our batch and their breadth of interests - they perhaps outnumber mine.

I think is now going to be a case where Editor tells readers to close a hotly debated discussion in readers' views column.
But interstingly the principal subject - SAFIN- is lost in the trail OR is it that the befitting comment as much applicable to the original blogger.

Thanks for the endorsements Mike (I take a bow) :). This also makes it the post with the most comments so far :). Just to get the subject back, I proclaim (at least for now):
